You will hear from all five of the candidates, who will talk about their experiences at Harvard, their careers, their goals as Overseer and their views on a racial justice agenda for Harvard, followed by Q&A. To receive the Zoom link, register by March 27 here. Elections begin on April 1, 2021. We encourage you to vote for the full list, in order to maximize the chances that these strong advocates of diversity will be elected. 

The Overseer candidates we endorse are: 

  • Raymond Lohier Jr. AB '88, a federal appellate judge in the Second Circuit who is dedicated to equal justice for all

  • María Teresa Kumar MPP '01, the co-founder/CEO of Voto Latino which works to educate and empower a new generation of Latinx voters

  • Sheryl WuDunn MBA '86, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, author, and consultant focusing on the inequality gap

  • Mark Carney AB '87, the UN Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance who is sounding the alarm about inequality and profit-driven decision-making and

  • Yvette Efevbera SM ’11, SD '18, a Harvard Forward candidate who is a global health and equity expert.
