Welcome, new h4a leaders!


H4A welcomes 3 new alumni to our Management Team this January! They are as follows:

Jia Han (AB '05) - Bay Area Chapter Head

Jia works in Customer Success at Datavant, a health data tech company. She is a former attorney turned startup operator and passionate about using technology to improve lives. Jia graduated from Harvard College with a concentration in Social Studies. She has a J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, and an MA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS. Jia lives in San Francisco with her husband and corgi pup. She’s excited to be connected to more H4A alums and hopes to see you at an event soon!
 


Wes Lam (ALB '17) - Washington, D.C. Event Coordinator

Wes is an independent IT manager based out of Northern Virginia. He is an U.S. Army combat veteran originally from Brooklyn, NY. His professional career spans 20 years with 16 years in the public sector and 5 years in the private sector. Academically, Wes obtained his bachelor's degree from the Extension School and his master's degrees from Columbia SIPA, SciencesPo Paris, and Oxford University. In his capacity as H4A DC Event Coordinator, Wes enjoys collaborating with the Harvard Club of DC and other Ivy clubs to promote Asian American objectives.
 


William Yao (AB '21) - Webmaster

Will is an engineer at a technology startup. Born to Chinese immigrants, Will was raised in Rhode Island, the smallest state with the biggest heart. Now, Will calls the Big Apple home. Broadly, he is interested in the future of cities and education equity. Will practiced violin at the The Juilliard School Precollege Division ('17) and studied Applied Mathematics at Harvard College ('21). While at Harvard, Will was deeply involved at The Crimson and the Brattle Street Chamber Players. Nowadays, most often, he can be found playing violin, running marathons, or cheering for the New York Yankees.
