As part of May's AAPI Heritage Month, join H4A NYC to help out an AAPI non-profit to decorate bags that will be used for delivery to their Elder beneficiaries. Heart of Dinner currently needs 700 delivery bags decorated! Help deliver love to Asian elders throughout NYC, one meal and loving message at a time.
Heart of Dinner addresses food insecurity, social isolation, and loneliness among Asian American seniors who live in under-resourced and underinvested communities. We do this by delivering care packages of nutritious prepared lunchboxes and fresh produce every Wednesday, lovingly paired with a handwritten and illustrated letter in their native language to bring warmth and comfort.
"Over 650 Elders served weekly. Over 170,000 meals & love notes delivered. Fosters an intergenerational community of volunteers in the thousands that transcends cultural differences and spreads empathy and compassion."
