The Unpassing  was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle's John Leonard Prize and shortlisted for the Center for Fiction's First Novel Prize. It was also a New York Times Book Review Editor's Choice and named a best book of 2019 by Esquire, The Washington Post, and TIME. Lin's short stories and essays have appeared in The Paris Review, NewYorker.com, The New York Times, Zyzzyva, and more. She currently lives in Northern California.
