On Tuesday, May 27, the Harvard Asian American Alumni Alliance (H4A) proudly sponsored and hosted an unforgettable affinity celebration honoring the Class of 2025. Over 500 guests joined us in community and celebration, and we were proud to distribute more than 1,000 stoles to graduating students.

During the celebrations, Politico reported that the Trump administration had ordered a halt to all new student visa interviews, with the possibility of expanded social media vetting for international students. For many in our community—especially international students and alumni—this news cast a stark reminder of the challenges our communities continue to face, even in moments of celebration.

That’s why affinity celebrations like these matter so deeply. They provide space for recognition, solidarity, and community in the face of uncertainty. Coming together to honor our graduates is not only a celebration of achievement—it’s a powerful statement of belonging, resilience, and shared strength.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every individual and organization whose generous contributions made this celebration possible. We stand proudly with all Asian and Asian American students—past, present, and future—and especially with our international student community.

Thank you to our donors who helped us raise $20,000 in 3 weeks to run this event, our incredible organizing team of students and alumni, H4A leadership for supporting this endeavor, and all of our members and supporters who came together to mark this powerful and historic milestone.
